During the FIA General Assemblies Week in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, FIA Clubs gathered for a series of regional meetings aimed at advancing safe and sustainable mobility, as well as fostering motor sport development across the globe.

Chaired by FIA Region III President Frank Fotia, the meeting spotlighted successful projects from 2025 that reflect the regions commitment to delivering safe, affordable, and sustainable mobility. Key discussions focused on business development opportunities, including leveraging modern technologies and AI to enhance Club offerings in an evolving mobility landscape.

Clubs also received updates from the FIA Foundation, the FIA Mobility Services Commission, and the FIA Mobility Policy Commission, reinforcing how their input will shape future plans. The session concluded with a roundtable exchange, where Clubs shared successes and challenges, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Celebrating Innovation: Region III Wins Big

Also in Tashkent, the FIA announced the winners of the 2025 FIA Innovation Challenge, an annual competition that promotes and celebrates innovative, scalable business and service projects from FIA Member Clubs across four global Mobility Regions: Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa, North America and the Caribbean, and South and Central America.

With 43 entries, Clubs worldwide demonstrated leadership and creativity in delivering solutions for safer, more sustainable, and more affordable mobility. Region III’s top prize went to the British Columbia Automobile Association (BCAA, member of CAA, Canada) for their groundbreaking work in protecting members and citizens from the devastating impact of wildfires.
