After a comprehensive internal review and careful consideration the FIA has made the strategic decision to bring the One Road Programme to a close.

While the Programme fostered valuable collaboration and initial momentum, it has not met the financial and structural benchmarks necessary for long-term sustainability. As such, the FIA will be redirecting its strategic and operational focus toward initiatives more closely aligned with our core priorities — namely, financial resilience, innovation, and scalable impact.

The FIA will be managing a phased and professional transition, ensuring:

  • Clear communication and coordination with all participating stakeholders
  • Knowledge transfer and documentation of insights from the programme
  • Help for Clubs that wish to continue parts of the programme independently
  • Clear success criteria to guide the wind-down process

This decision has been adopted following the FIA World Council for Mobility and Tourism, taking place in June 2025 during the FIA Conference in Macau, China.

The FIA extends it sincere appreciation to Clubs, partners and contributors who supported the One Road programme. The efforts, creativity, and commitment helped the programme explore new grounds. We’re carrying forward the lessons, the insights, and the spirit of innovation as we focus on building the next generation of impactful mobility services.

The FIA remains fully committed to driving initiatives that deliver real, measurable value to our Members and the global mobility community.
