The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) is the governing body for world motor sport and the federation of the world’s leading mobility organisations.
Founded in 1904, with headquarters in Paris and Geneva, the FIA is a non-profit organisation. It brings together 244 Member Organisations from 146 countries on five continents. Its Member Clubs represent over 80 million road users and their families.

The FIA Region III office, based in Canada, is representing FIA Mobility Members from across North America and the Caribbean.

 

PRESIDENT

Frank Fotia – President, FIA Region III

Elected first in 2021 and re-elected for his second term in 2025, Frank is the President of FIA Region III, representing North America and the Caribbean. His leadership extends across the global FIA community, where he has served as Chair of the Mobility Services Commission, the FIA University Board, and the Statutes Review Commission. He currently sits on both the FIA Customs Council and the World Council, contributing to international mobility policy and governance.

Frank is also part of the Canadian Automobile Association, where he advises on topics such as Corporate Affairs, Finance, and Human Resources. Since joining CAA in 1998 as Director of Insurance Services, Frank has always played a pivotal role in advancing the association’s strategic and operational priorities.

Before joining CAA, Frank held a senior management role at a major insurance company, overseeing a 300-person team and managing corporate employee benefits and pension services.

Frank is recognized for his deep expertise in mobility, insurance, and organizational leadership. He lives in Ottawa, Canada and continues to champion innovation and collaboration across the mobility sector.
